Clustered Mountain Mint Pycnanthemum muticum

This aromatic perennial grows 1-3’ tall in full sun (although part-sun is tolerated). Exudes a strong spearmint aroma when crushed.  Can be used in teas.

Attracts an enormous amount of insects, as all the mountain mints do.  The upper pair of leaves (really bracts) are velvety and can look like it’s been dusted with powder.

Herbivores don’t like mountain mints. Use this plant to protect other susceptible plants.
