Missouri Evening Primrose Oenothera macrocarpa

This sprawling primrose grows about 1’ tall and produces large pale-yellow flowers that open late in the day and remain open until morning. Blooms spring to summer.

Prefers dry to medium conditions, does well in droughty soils.

SPhinx moths pollinate the flowers.
