Pink Muhly Grass Muhlenbergia capillaris

Clump-forming, upright grass with glossy, thin leaves.  Grows to 3’ tall, prefers sun but tolerates part-shade. 

The real thrill comes in the fall when it flowers and the pinkish seed heads glow in the setting sun. A group of them makes a stunning scene.
