Oakleaf Hydrangea Hydrangea quercifolia

Commonly planted in home gardens, oak leaf Hydrangea is a great shrub, growing to 8’ tall and wide.

Blooms occur on old wood so don’t prune til after flowering although very little pruning is needed for this great shrub.

Best planted in part-sun but does fine in full sun. The panicles of white flowers occurs in May-June.  Fall color is a deep red or burgundy.
