Oxeye Sunflower Heliopsis helianthoid

This early-blooming sunflower grows 3 to 6’ tall.  It is tolerant of many soil types and can be somewhat drought-tolerant.  Best grown in full sun.

The daisy-like yellow flowers bloom in June and July. Ground-nesting bees are specialist pollinators of this plant.
