Prairie Cinquefoil Drymocallis arguta

This plant looks somewhat like strawberry except it is covered in dense hairs and the flowers are located on a stout central stem.  Prefers dry, well-drained (or rocky) soil and has great drought tolerance.

Grows up to 3’ tall, blooms in June.
