Persimmon Diospyros virginiana

Persimmons can be large trees, up to 60’ tall.  Prefers dry to medium soils and full sun to part sun.  

Has beautiful blocky bark easily identifiable in the winter. Blooms are insignificant. Female trees need a male pollinator to produce fruit. Wildlife love the fruit as well as humans.
