Aronia can tolerate a wide range of soils, even boggy conditions. Keep in mind it will sucker, so plant it accordingly.  This plant has pretty fall color and gorgeous black berries. Aronia berries are edible and you can use them in jams and jellies, but they are very tart and bitter.
